We have compiled a list of frequently asked questions we receive.

I would like to print on my own materials. Is this possible, and is there a charge for it?
Send us your sample along with the printing conditions, and we can proceed. This service is usually free, but for large quantities, we will provide a quote.
I would like to see the printing process in action. Is that possible?
We can provide printer demonstrations at our headquarters in Nagano, our Tokyo office, or our Kansai office in Kyoto. However, for large equipment or custom products, you will need to visit our headquarters in Nagano.
Is it possible to purchase and ship products overseas?
We can sell to countries without distributors or agents, but it will require coordination with the customer for maintenance and other services.
Is it possible to export the products sold by your company?
Exporting is generally possible, but we will discuss and tailor the process according to your needs.
Is it possible to develop custom printers or equipment? If so, what would the process involve?
For development projects, the process involves consultation →Quotation → Specification discussion → Order placement →This is followed by delivery of the product.(Please note that additional fees may apply at the specification document creation stage.)
Are the inks used in food printers safe?
We use pigments approved by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, so they are safe and reliable.
Is maintenance covered after installing the equipment?
Generally, we offer on-site repair services across Japan. For remote locations and islands, additional quotes may be required.
Can you handle emergency calls (e.g. breakdowns) on holidays?
On regular Saturdays, we can handle phone support from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM. (Excludes year-end holidays and company-designated holidays.)
Is the ink for the food printer in cartridges?
We do not use ink cartridges; instead, the ink is supplied in bottles.
Do you offer rentals for food printers?
We do not offer rentals.
Is the software for handling food printers paid?
The software 'Kantacchi Print XX,' designed for easy operation by anyone, is included as standard.
What parts are prone to wear and tear, and what are their prices?
Commonly worn parts include the print head "ink ejection section" and the ink system "ink suction section". Repair costs are quoted individually, based on each case.
Is it possible for individuals to make a purchase?
It is possible to make a purchase after receiving a quote.
Can I buy consumables online?
Generally, they cannot be purchased online, but in some cases, they may be available through online sales by our distributors.
Are there any materials that are not suitable for printing with a food printer?
Materials that are very dark in color, water-repellent, or have significant uneven surfaces are generally not suitable. However, depending on the request, it may still be possible. Please feel free to consult with us.
Is it possible to purchase printers from other companies as well?
Yes, it is possible.
Do you also sell just the ink and coating agents?
Unless it's a special case, we do not sell just the ink or coating agents.
Can you provide or design the images for printing?
Typically, customers provide the images and data for printing. However, we can assist with designing if needed.
Is it possible to arrange a demo with materials or samples brought in by the customer?
Generally, we do not accept demos with customer-supplied materials or samples.
Do you offer printing services on a contract basis?
Currently, we do not accept printing services on a contract basis.
Can you provide references or examples of companies or stores that have implemented your printers?
We can provide references to companies or stores that use our printers if the purpose is to utilize our services.
Is there an expiration date for edible ink?
The shelf life of edible ink is one year from the manufacturing date if unopened. Once opened, please keep it tightly sealed and store it in a cool, dark place, and use it as soon as possible.
Do you offer maintenance contracts?
Depending on the model, maintenance contracts are available. Please contact us for more details.
What is the cost of edible ink and printing per cookie?
As a reference, when printing on a 5cm x 5cm cookie, the ink usage is about 0.01ml, and the cost is approximately 0.30 to 0.40 yen per cookie.
Do you have white ink available?
Depending on the type of ink, white ink for food applications is not available.
What should I be cautious about when using the printer?
If the printer isn't used for a long time, the print head may clog, preventing printing. To avoid this, remove the ink and clean the printer with a cleaning solution. For other precautions, pleaseContactsus.
